Red River Gum
I have watched this old river gum, that lives in my horse paddock, through the changing seasons, standing steadfast through drought, flood and fire. Its history is written across its trunk in every scar, lump and twisted limb. Caught in the last light of the setting sun, it is a portrait of survival: ancient, weathered and unmistakably Australian.
